Expanded Functionality for Shurgard in JD Edwards

According to Steve Vancraenem, Director of Accounting Europe, Shurgard, "The implementation project was completed incredibly quickly. A live version was implemented across Europe within six weeks, thanks in part to the great support and interaction between Shurgard and the ISProjects team during the implementation phase. We also received very useful advice from the ISProjects team when implementing the approval process: they did not hesitate to speak up against the client to show other potential routes in order to avoid having to do a lot of additional development work."

Extended Functionality and Audit Trail

All invoices are now scanned into a single system. This is a big advantage with five support centres receiving invoices locally! The web tool lets approvers easily perform the review. (It’s very convenient for people who travel frequently such as Facility Managers, who represent the highest volume in the organisation.) Built-in Email features allow documents to be sent internally, or to third parties, with an automatic trace in the audit trail. This audit trail includes all comments and routing of the invoice from account processing to final approval.

In addition, we have a monitoring/reporting module. This insightful feature shows the number of invoices, where they are in the process, the person handling the invoice, etc. This gives us a better understanding of bottlenecks. It enables us to adjust the process accordingly," Vancraenem concludes.

"The project was completed incredibly quickly. A live version was implemented across Europe within six weeks."

Rapid Implementation

By integrating with ERP system Infor LN, MPS has increased productivity in invoice processing. MPS has been cooperating well with ISPnext. Maarten explains: “ISPnext employs expert professionals. Questions through the help desk are also handled and completed smoothly."

Maarten indicates that in addition to digitising the invoice flow, other processes within finance have also been digitised: "The software is very user-friendly and performs well. We have great peace of mind and save time, which allows us to take up other work that adds more value to the business."
